Coaching
The session
A session is 90 minutes of pair programming on your own work: two 45 minute halves with a 10 to 15 minute break between them. You do the work. I guide.
How it goes
First I get to understand your goals: what are you building?
Then we build your iteration loop, so you can build, deploy, and iterate quickly.
From there, you steer your product where you want it to go. I help you see what matters, fill in the gaps in what you know, and keep the excitement going. Along the way you build your skills and clarify your vision.
How many sessions
Figure out what works for you. Weekly or every two weeks, for as long as you find it worthwhile.
The method
Every project I run, this site included, is built with build-skills: a short set of rules for how software gets built, which an AI coding assistant loads when one applies. Their lineage is Deming’s quality management, where quality is defined by the customer. In a session they’re our shared reference: we pick the practice your work needs, and you put it to use. They’re open source, so you keep them when we’re done.
